RECENT FUNDRAISING EVENTS Swimathon 2010 The
Trust once again entered two teams of sponsored swimmers in the Purley Rotary
Club Charity Swimathon at Purley Pool on the evening of Saturday 6 February
2010. The challenge was for the teams to complete as many lengths of the pool as
possible in the allotted time of 55 minutes. Reedham
Team 1 consisted of swimmers Andrew Tubb, Carol Tubb, Amy Tubb, Elizabeth Frost,
Chloe Wall, Matthew Wall, Leah Hidden and Paul Abreu. Swimming
in Reedham Team 2 were Richard Knight, Matthew Knight, Louisa Knight, Henry
Stanley, George Stanley, Chris Ackerley and Rob Ackerley. We
do thank our swimmers for all their hard work on the night, and
sincerely thank all those kind enough to sponsor them – and also those who
came along to Purley Pool to cheer them on. It
takes some time for all the sponsorship monies to be collected together and
forwarded to the Rotary Club for distribution, but the amount raised for the
Reedham Trust from the 2010 Swimathon will be reported here as soon as possible. ___________________________________ Christmas Collections 2009 The Trust once again took part
in the annual Christmas Collections organised by the Purley Rotary Club.
Our thanks go to our band of collectors who collected outside Tesco in Purley on
Friday 4 December. The amount raised for Reedham from these collections was £550 and the Trust is very grateful to the Purley Rotary Club for allowing us to benefit from their Christmas Collections in 2009. ___________________________________
