The Reedham Trust's newsletter for
assisted boarders
The Reedham Trust is a grant making body, which supports children who, through the death or disablement of one or both parents are in urgent need of assistance and care, or who because of their circumstances are at risk or cannot be cared for adequately in the home environment.
There are lots of reasons why a child cannot be at home, we offer
We help children by providing grants to enable them to go to boarding school.
The Trust is advertising for up to 3 new board members to help it through an exciting period of change and to achieve the challenging targets that it has set itself. The Trust intends to develop and extend its services to children on the edge of care, and needs to add to its trustees'skill set to do that.
The Trust supports children whose home circumstances are so challenging that they risk being taken into local authority care. these children come from homes where one or both parents is unable to care for them because of death or disability. Grants are currently provided to around 130 children to enable them to attend boarding school where they will receive the care and support they need.

The Reedham Trust has received a large number of applications already this year and regrets it can accept no more at the present time. However, ring-fenced funds remain available for children from the London Borough of Croydon area.
We are, of course, continuing to honour all our existing commitments to the children already supported by the Trust.
The Trust received a very positive response to The first edition of . We have had some help for the second edition from the pupils of Royal Alexandra and Albert School who hosted the first of our workshops. Workshop leaders Drawn to Stars made the event a lot of fun.
